An Italian police seized a mobile phone device in a raid on a Mafia gang that is actually a pistol. This phone gun complete with a dummy display, keypad and an antenna can hold four .22 bullets. It was fully loaded and ready to be used when it was found in Naples.
The gun is the same size as an ordinary mobile phone. It is capable of firing four rounds in quick succession. The phone transformed into a gun by sliding the keypad section. Then the gun is loaded by twisting the phone and fitting the .22-caliber rounds into the top of the phone, under the screen. The bullets are fired through the antenna by pressing keypad numbers five to eight.
